The beautiful property is located between the towns of Sosúa and Cabarete on the north coast. Sosúa lies on both sides of the long Playa Sosúa. The beach offers water sports. The sandy beach path is lined with restaurants and souvenir shops. Sosúa consists of two districts: Los Charamincos in the west and El Batey in the east. At a nearby coral reef you can dive wonderfully. Diving trips lead to about the wreck of the 1993 sunken Zingra. Sosúa is a turbulent resort on a cliff-lined beach between Puerto Plata and Cabarete. Sosúa is divided into a mostly inhabited by locals, located west of the bay Charmicos district and in the east, tourist El Batey. Since the 1970s, the former fishing village has developed into a fun-loving small town with narrow streets, where people can stroll around well from restaurant to restaurant or from bar to bar at night.
Cabarete is the sportiest resort in the Dominican Republic, which owes its tourism boom above all its optimal wind and kitesurfing conditions. The average wind force in the long beach bay of the former fishing village is about four to five Beaufort; even in summer and autumn. This Cabarete was a sought after sport for windsurfing freaks from around the world. Scene pubs on the main street of the village, along the road between Sosúa and Río Juan, also attract tourists from neighboring villages.
